Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 132
FMI: 0

Description: Engine Inlet Air Mass Flow Rate High
Troubleshooting:
The Mass Airflow Sensor monitors the air entering the engine to help calculate the amount and
density of the incoming air. These readings allow the Electronic Control Module (ECM) to
calculate the correct amount of Exhaust Gas Recirculation during engine operation.
Probable causes:
1) Disconnected Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hoses or tubes after turbochargers
2) Mass Air Flow (MAF) auto-calibration
3) Water ingestion in air cleaner
4) MAF configuration Programmable Parameters (PP)

Description: Engine Inlet Air Mass Flow Rate Low
Troubleshooting:
The Mass Airflow Sensor monitors the air entering the engine to help calculate the amount and
density of the incoming air. These readings allow the Electronic Control Module (ECM) to
calculate the correct amount of Exhaust Gas Recirculation during engine operation.
Probable causes:
1) Disconnected hose to air filter
2) MAF auto-calibration
3) Defective MAF sensor
4) MAF configuration PP
5) Restricted air filter
6) Restricted CAC or pipes
7) Failed Turbochargers

FMI: 3

Description: MAF signal Out of Range HIGH
Troubleshooting:
Module (ECM) to calculate the correct amount of Exhaust Gas Recirculation during engine
operation.
Probable causes:
1) MAF signal circuit OPEN or short to PWR
2) Failed MAF sensor

Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 132
FMI: 4

Description: MAF signal Out of Range LOW
Troubleshooting:
Module (ECM) to calculate the correct amount of Exhaust Gas Recirculation during engine
operation.
Probable causes:
1) MAF signal circuit short to GND
2) Failed MAF sensor
