SPN: 2630
FMI: 4

Description: CACOT signal out of range LOW
Troubleshooting:
The Charge Air Cooler Outlet Temperature (CACOT) sensor measures air temperature
entering the Engine Throttle Valve (ETV). This is monitored Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
system control and Charge Air Cooler (CAC) performance
Probable causes:
1) CACOT signal circuit short to GND
2) Failed sensor

FMI: 16

Description: CACOT Undercooling
Troubleshooting:
The Charge Air Cooler Outlet Temperature (CACOT) sensor measures air temperature
entering the Engine Throttle Valve (ETV). This is monitored Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
system control and Charge Air Cooler (CAC) performance
Probable causes:
1) Low coolant level
2) Engine overheating
3) Excessive boost levels
4) Biased Barometric Absolute Pressure (BARO) sensor
5) Biased Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensor
6) Biased Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor
7) Biased CACOT sensor
8) Biased Intake Manifold Pressure (IMP) sensor

Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 2659
FMI: 10

Description: EGR Slow Response Fault
Troubleshooting:
The Air Management Systems (AMS) test is a test performed on the Exhaust Gas Recirculation
(EGR) system. During the test, engine speed is increased, injection timing and Injection
Control Pressure (ICP) are fixed, and the EGR valve is closed. The EGR valve is later opened
during the test. Airflow is measured during the test and if the measurements are not within the
minimum and maximum values expected a code is set.
Probable causes:
1) EGR valve sticking

Make: International

PID: N/A
SPN: 2659
FMI: 14

Description: Service Tool Test – EBP was unable to detect EGR movement
Troubleshooting:

Probable causes:
1) Biased EBP sensor or circuit
2) Plugged EBP sensor tube
3) Failed EGR valve
