Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 4752
FMI: 4
Description: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler efficiency: EGR outlet temp above
expected
Troubleshooting:
The Engine Coolant System (ECS) is monitored to ensure engine coolant temperature does
not get too high for safe engine operation.
Probable causes:
1) Plugged EGR cooler gas side
2) Plugged EGR cooler coolant side
3) Coolant contamination of gas side
4) Low coolant level
5) Failed water pump
6) Stuck bypass circuit
7) Excessive exhaust temperature
8) Biased Charge Air Cooler Outlet Temperature (CACOT) sensor
9) Biased Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
10) Biased temperature sensor
11) Restricted exhaust
12) MAF sensor auto-calibration
13) Incorrect MAF configuration Programmable Parameters (PP)
14) Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensor biased

PID: N/A
SPN: 4765
FMI: 2
Description: DOCIT signal erratic, intermittent, or incorrect
Troubleshooting:
The Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature (DOCIT) sensor measures the temperature
between the Pre-Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (Pre-DOC) and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst
(DOC). The Electronic Control Module (ECM) uses the DOCIT sensor as well as the Diesel
Oxidation Catalyst Outlet Temperature (DOCOT), Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet Temperature
(DPFOT), and Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure (DPFDP) sensors to monitor the
operation of the regeneration cycles of the Aftertreatment system.
Probable causes:
1) DOCIT biased sensor or circuit

2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet Temperature (DPFOT) sensor
