Description: Intake Throttle Position Deviation Error
Troubleshooting:
DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the intake throttle valve position has a 15% deviation from the position
commanded by the Motor Control Module (MCM) when
the engine coolant temperature is above 60°C (140°F).
MONITORED PARAMETER:
Intake Throttle Valve (ITV).
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Coolant temperature is greater than 60°C (140°F).
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCEY:
Continuous when enabling conditions are met
TYPCIAL DURATION:
Five seconds
DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL
ENGINE REACTION:
10% derate
VERIFICATION:
Engine rpm = 600 rpm or higher.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Faulty ITV motor.
2. Faulty ITV position sensor.
3. Sticking ITV.
4. Faulty ITV.
5. Damaged pins.
