Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 91
FMI: 2

Description: APP1 and APP2 signal conflict
Troubleshooting:
The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor reads the position of the accelerator pedal. The
Electronic Control Module compares signals from two separate sensors to determine pedal
position. When the pedal is pressed, resistance decreases and the change in voltage is
interpreted by the Electronic Control Module
Probable causes:
1) APP1 and APP2 miss-matched
2) Biased sensor or circuit

Description: APP1 signal Out of Range HIGH
Troubleshooting:
The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor reads the position of the accelerator pedal. The
Electronic Control Module compares signals from two separate sensors to determine pedal
position. When the pedal is pressed, resistance decreases and the change in voltage is
interpreted by the Electronic Control Module
Probable causes:
1) APP1 signal circuit short to PWR
2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed APP sensor

Description: APP1 signal Out of Range LOW
Troubleshooting:
The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor reads the position of the accelerator pedal. The
Electronic Control Module compares signals from two separate sensors to determine pedal
position. When the pedal is pressed, resistance decreases and the change in voltage is
interpreted by the Electronic Control Module
Probable causes:
1) APP1 signal circuit OPEN or short to GND
2) VREF circuit OPEN
3) Failed APP sensor

Description: Fuel Delivery Pressure above Critical
Troubleshooting:
Fuel Delivery Pressure (FDP) is a measure of the amount of fuel pressure that is entering the
fuel injectors.
Probable causes:
1) FDP above 145 psi (1000 kPa) with engine running
2) Restricted fuel regulator
3) Restricted fuel return line
