Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 974
FMI: 3
Description: Remote APP signal Out of Range HIGH
Troubleshooting:
The Remote Accelerator Pedal Position (RAPP), also called the Remote Engine Speed Control
(RESC), allows the user to maintain constant engine speed from outside the truck. This is done
by using switches mounted on the outside of the vehicle.
Probable causes:
1) RPS signal circuit short to PWR
2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed RAPP system component

Description: Remote APP signal Out of Range LOW
Troubleshooting:
The Remote Accelerator Pedal Position (RAPP), also called the Remote Engine Speed Control
(RESC), allows the user to maintain constant engine speed from outside the truck. This is done
by using switches mounted on the outside of the vehicle.
Probable causes:
1) S signal circuit OPEN or short to GND
2) VREF4 circuit OPEN
3) Failed RAPP system component

Description: ECM Error – over temperature
Troubleshooting:
Code is set during ECM self test
Probable Causes:
1) ECM overheating
Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 1173
FMI: 2
Description: TC2CIT signal erratic, intermittent or incorrect
Troubleshooting:
The Turbocharger 2 Compressor Inlet Sensor (TC2CIS) monitors boost pressure forthe lowpressure
turbo and also measures the temperature of the charge-air entering the high –
pressure turbo. The readings from this sensor are used to calculate fuel delivery and control
the wastegate.
Probable causes:
1) Biased Turbocharger 2 Compressor Inlet Temperature (TC2CIT) sensor or circuit
2) High resistance in circuit
3) Shorted sensor
4) Shorted wiring
