Make: Volvo
Engine: All Engines (2017 Emissions)

Fauld Code:P061600
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A
Description: Starter Relay Circuit Low
Troubleshooting:
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Short circuit to ground on A14.EB:29
2) Short circuit to ground on A127.A:51
Observable symptoms
1) Starter motor does not become activated
2) Engine does not start
Probable cause
1) Wire between Engine Control Module (ECM) and starter motor relay
2) Starter motor relay (K65)

Make: Volvo
Engine: All Engines (2017 Emissions)

Fauld Code: P064200
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A

Description: Sensor Reference Voltage “A”
Troubleshooting:
An analog signal from the accelerator pedal is used to indicate a percent value of the
accelerator pedal position. The signal is monitored by the Vehicle Electronic Control Unit
(VECU) and communicated to the Engine Control Module (ECM) via the J1939 data link.
Based on the signal, the ECM will request a certain engine torque. If the analog signal is too
low or too high, the ECM instead uses the digital signal from the accelerator pedal’s idle
validation switch to enable driving in limp home mode.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The electronic control unit (ECU) registers a voltage supply that is lower than 4.7 V
2) A17:PB10
Observable symptoms
1) The engine does not respond when accelerator pedal is pressed.
Probable cause
1) Accelerator pedal
2) Supply wire, Short circuit to lower voltage
3) Supply wire, Short circuit to ground

Description: Control Module Internal Temperature Sensor “A”
Troubleshooting:
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is used to indicate temperatures at the engine control
module (ECM). The DTC will be set if the ECM temperature is too high. A faulty ECM
temperature can lead to power loss.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Internal fault in electronic control unit (ECU)
Probable cause
1) ECM – Engine Control Module

Description: Sensor Power Supply A Circuit High
Troubleshooting:
The control module provides the following sensors with 5V supply voltage
1) B37: Intake manifold air temperature (IMAT) and pressure sensor
2) B187: Aftertreatment Fuel Pressure Sensor
3) B166: EGR Differential Pressure Sensor
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The voltage at pin A14.EA:7 is more than 5.5 V
Observable symptoms
1) Incorrect values on intake manifold pressure (IMP) sensor
2) Low Power
3) Intake manifold pressure (IMP) gauge shows 0
Probable cause
1) Wiring harness
2) Connector
3) Sensor
