Fauld Code: P06E800
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A
Description: Sensor Power Supply “C” Circuit High
Troubleshooting:
The control module provides the following sensors with 5V supply voltage
1) A43: Fan speed sensor
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The voltage at pin A14.EA:1 is more than 5.5 V
Probable cause
1) Wiring harness
2) Connector
3) Fan speed sensor

Description: Preheat Relay
Troubleshooting:
The preheat Relay controls the preheater from an electric signal from the Engine Control
Module (ECM). This function is used to warm up the inlet air during cold conditions. This
provides more reliable starting and reduces exhaust emissions during cold starts. Vehicles can
be equipped with or without the preheater.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Output activated
2) Short circuit to battery voltage on A14.EB:25
Observable symptoms
1) Intake air heater (IAH) relay never activated
2) White smoke at cold start
3) Difficult to start in extreme cold
Probable cause
1) Connector
2) Wiring harness
3) Intake air heater (IAH) relay

Description: Cold Start Cylinder 1 Fuel Injector Offset Learning at Min Limit
Troubleshooting:
Fuel Injector operation is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM provides a
common supply voltage to injectors 1,2,3 (Bank 1) and there are individual output transistor
drivers inside the ECM to control each individual injector’s ground circuits. There are two
solenoid circuits within the injector; a Needle Control Valve and a Spill Valve. Although they are
separate circuits, the same fault code is used to identify a fault in the Needle Control Valve
circuit and/or the Spill Valve circuit.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Injector (INJ) activated
2) Cylinder balancing data too high
Observable symptoms
1) Low Power
2) Uneven operation
Probable cause
1) Excessive wear or damage to cylinder liners, piston, or piston rings
2) Valves and rocker arms
3) Camshaft
4) VCB control valve sticking or slow to close
5) Injector 1

Description: Transmission Gate Interlock Valve
Troubleshooting:
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Transmission Gate Interlock Valve – Circuit Short To Battery
Diagnostic operating conditions
1) Ignition key in ON position
Probable cause
1) Transmission Gate Interlock Valve
2) Engine control module (ECM)
3) Wiring harness
4) Connector
