Make: Volvo
Engine: All Engines (2017 Emissions)

Fauld Code: P215A62
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A
Description: Vehicle Speed – Wheel Speed Correlation
Troubleshooting:
This signal is sent from the (VECU) Vehicle Electronic Control Unit to the Cluster to present the
actual vehicle speed. It is also used by the maximum speed limitation. The maximum speed
limit can vary depending on customer option.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The speed signal from the tachograph is updated incorrectly
Probable cause
1) Wiring harness
2) Data link
3) Tachograph
4) Faulty Calibration Numbers

Engine: All Engines (2017 Emissions)

Fauld Code: P200013
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A

Description: NOx Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1
Troubleshooting:
The NOx sensor measures the amount of NOx in the exhaust system. The NOx sensor is
connected in the J2284/ISO data link. This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates a NOx
monitoring failure. For example; NOx sensor short- or open circuit, NOx sensor removed, NOx
sensor missing signal.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Current below normal or open circuit
2) Ignition key in drive position
Probable cause
1) NOx sensor
2) Wires between NOx module and NOx sensor
Detailed information
1) Incorrect sensor value

Description: NOx Sensor Heater Control Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
Troubleshooting:

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Calibration value out of range
2) Internal NOx sensor heating failure
Observable symptoms
1) None
Probable cause
1) NOx sensor

Fauld Code: P222764
PID: EMS
SPN: N/A
FMI: N/A

Description: Barometric Pressure Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance
Troubleshooting:
The Ambient Pressure Sensor is located inside the Engine Control Module (ECM) and can
therefore not be checked.
The signal is used to calculate intake manifold pressure (IMP) as well as to compensate for
fuel when driving at high altitudes.
The engine control module (ECM) will set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) if the sensor signal
is not within predetermined limits, or the signal is not rational.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Irrational pressure
Probable cause
1) Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor
2) If the sensor is blocked by e.g. dirt, paint or stickers it may send an incorrect value
Detailed information
1) The sensor is located in the engine control module (ECM) and therefore cannot be checked
2) The signal is used to calculate intake manifold pressure (IMP) as well as to control fuel
compensation when driving at high altitudes
3) Irrational pressure compared to crankcase pressure (CCP) and intake manifold pressure
(IMP)
