Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 110
FMI: 0

Description: Engine Coolant System above Critical Temperature
Troubleshooting:
The Engine Warning Protection System (EWPS) warns the operator when engine conditions
could become damaging. The Electronic Control Module can be programmed to shut off the
engine these conditions occur.
Probable causes:
1) Biased ECT1 sensor or circuit
2) Low coolant level
3) Engine cooling system mechanical failure

Description: ECT1 signal erratic, intermittent, or incorrect
Troubleshooting:
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) measures engine coolant temperature
Probable causes:
1) Biased ECT1 sensor or circuit

FMI: 3

Description: ECT1 signal Out of Range HIGH
Troubleshooting:
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) measures engine coolant temperature
Probable causes:
1) ECT1 signal circuit OPEN or short to PWR
2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed ECT1 sensor
