Description: Compressor Inlet Temperature Sensor Signal Not Plausible
Troubleshooting:
DESCRIPTION:
This fault code sets when the motor control module (MCM) detects that the turbocharger
compressor inlet temperature is greater than 20°C (36°F) degrees from the expected
temperature after the engine has been turned off for 8 hours.
MONITORED PARAMETER:
Compressor inlet temperature.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Key on.
2. Engine off.
3. Battery voltage greater than 11 volts.
4. Engine rpm at zero.
5. Ambient temperature less than 40°C (104°F).
6. Engine off for no less than 8 hours.
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCEY:
Once per cool down cycle.
TYPCIAL DURATION:
5 seconds
DASH LAMPS:
MIL
ENGINE REACTION:
None
VERIFICATION:
Road test the vehicle for 30 minutes until the coolant reaches operating temperature. Then
verify that the engine compressor inlet temperature is within 10°C (18°F) of the ambient air
temperature.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Reprogramming or time change to the CPC.
2. Damaged or corroded sensor connectors.
3. Failed sensor.

Description: Aftertreatment Control Module Message Not Received or Has Stopped Arriving
Troubleshooting:
DESCRIPTION:
Aftertreatment control module (ACM) message not received or has stopped arriving.
MONITORED PARAMETER:
ACM Controller Area Network (CAN) communication.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCEY:
Always enabled
TYPCIAL DURATION:
Two seconds
DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL is solid.
2. CEL and AWL flash.
ENGINE REACTION:
30 seconds shutdown.
VERIFICATION:
Turn the ignition OFF, disconnect the USB link from the 9-pin connector. Wait five minutes,
reconnect the USB link and the diagnostic tool. Turn the ignition ON and recheck for the fault
code.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Battery voltage
2. ACM, the Motor Control Module (MCM), or Common Powertrain Controller (CPC) needs
reprogramming.
3. Corroded pins.
4. Damaged pins.
5. Bent pins.
6. Spread pins.
7. Faulty circuits.
8. Faulty ACM.
9. Faulty CPC.
10. Faulty MCM.
