Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 2623
FMI: 3
Description: APP2 signal Out of Range HIGH
Troubleshooting:
The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor reads the position of the accelerator pedal. The
Electronic Control Module compares signals from two separate sensors to determine pedal
position. When the pedal is pressed, resistance decreases and the change in voltage is
interpreted by the Electronic Control Module
Probable Causes:
1) APP2 signal circuit short to PWR
2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed sensor

Description: APP2 signal Out of Range LOW
Troubleshooting:
The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor reads the position of the accelerator pedal. The
Electronic Control Module compares signals from two separate sensors to determine pedal
position. When the pedal is pressed, resistance decreases and the change in voltage is
interpreted by the Electronic Control Module
Probable Causes:
1) APP2 signal circuit OPEN or short to GND
2) VREF circuit OPEN
3) Failed sensor

SPN: 2630
FMI: 2
Description: CACOT Signal Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect
Troubleshooting:
The Charge Air Cooler Outlet Temperature (CACOT) sensor measures air temperature
entering the Engine Throttle Valve (ETV). This is monitored Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
system control and Charge Air Cooler (CAC) performance
Probable causes:
1) Biased CACOT sensor
2) High resistance connections to CACOT sensor
3) Shorted connections for CACOT sensor
