loads.

Warm up engine and ensure engine is not in regen mode. Drive a fully-loaded trailer on
highway and maintain above enabling conditions for 150 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Damaged pins.
2. Bent pins.
3. Spread pins.
4. Corroded pins.
5. Unseated pins.
6. Signs of moisture in the connector.
7. Damaged wire.
8. Faulty Inlet NOx Sensor.
9. Leak in Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and exhaust system (turbine housing, exhaust
manifold, etc.).
10. Moisture inside ports of the delta P sensor.
11. Clogged or blocked delta P venturi ports.
12. Damaged connector of the intake pressure/temperature sensor.
13. Faulty intake pressure/temperature sensor.
14. Excessive build-up or blockage in the EGR cooler hot pipe, EGR crossover pipe and
delivery pipe.
15. Clean piping and replace EGR cooler.
16. Faulty SCR inlet NOx sensor.

MONITORED PARAMETER:

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. EGR mass flow greater than .08 kg/s.
2. Engine speed 1450 to 1900 rpm.
3. Engine torque 1400 to 2100 nm (1.03 to 1.55 lb. ft).
4. Battery voltage greater than 11 V.
5. Coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
6. Ambient temperature greater than -8°C (18°F).
7. Barometric pressure greater than 755 mbar.
8. Engine not in regeneration mode.

Description: Lambda Reading Rationality Check
Troubleshooting:
DESCRIPTION:
Goal of this diagnostic is to detect the engine out lambda signal lower than expected in engine
no-fueling mode.
MONITORED PARAMETER:
Inlet NOx sensor.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Engine at 1100 to 1800 rpm.
2. Accelerator at zero percent.
3. In DEF dosing mode.
4. Coolant temp above 65°C (149°F).
5. Ambient air temp above -18°C (0°F).
6. Ambient pressure above 752 mbar (10.9 psi).
7. Not in regen mode.
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
Inlet NOx sensor.
EXECUTION FREQUENCEY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.
TYPCIAL DURATION:
10 seconds

VERIFICATION:
