Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 3246
FMI: 2

Description: DPFOT signal erratic, intermittent, or incorrect
Troubleshooting:
The Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet Temperature (DPFOT) sensor measures the temperature of
the outlet temperature of the Diesel Particulate Filter. The Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet
Temperature (DPFOT) works with the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature (DOCIT),
Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Outlet Temperature (DOCOT), and Diesel Particulate Filter
Differential Pressure (DPFDP) sensors to operate and control the regeneration cycles of the
Aftertreatment system.
Probable causes:
1) Biased DPFOT sensor or circuit

Make: International
Engine: MaxxForce DT (2010 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 3246
FMI: 3

Description: DPFOT signal Out of Range HIGH

Probable causes:
1) DPFOT signal circuit OPEN or short to PWR
2) SIG GND circuit OPEN
3) Failed DPFOT sensor
