Description: Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet Temperature Sensor Circuit Failed Low
Troubleshooting:
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Bent pins.
2. Spread pins.
3. Corroded pins.
4. Faulty wiring.
5. Faulty DPF outlet temperature sensor.

Engine: DD15 GHG17 (2017 & Newer)
PID: N/A
SPN: 3246
FMI: 8

Description: Diesel Particulate Filter Outlet Temperature – Signal Spike
Troubleshooting:
NOTE: This fault indicates the aftertreatment control module (ACM) has detected a sudden
temperature shift on the diesel particulate filter (DPF) outlet temperature sensor. The most
likely cause is an intermittent wiring concern (Poor terminal fit, corrosion, chaffing etc.).
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Faulty DPF outlet temperature sensor.
2. Faulty harness connector terminals between the DPF outlet temperature sensor and the
ACM including the chassis extension harness and ATD sensor box.
